Today’s gift is a bit ethereal — angels! Imagine with your family sometime today about the host of angels that came to a field of shepherds, announcing the wonderful news of a Messiah being born. The word “angel” comes from the Greek and Hebrew words meaning “messenger.” So just as God created a star to guide the Magi (wise men) to Jesus, God created the heavenly hosts to proclaim Jesus to the people. “Hark, The Herald Angels Sing” was God’s own spectacular way of announcing the birth of His Son. Be a messenger this Christmas – and announce the joy we have in celebrating a baby who came to be our Savior. Merry Christmas!
